Direct Digital controls were approached to provide building management solutions for Oxford University's Beecroft Building. A state of the art research facility that will revolutionise theoretical physics, quantum computing and provide insights into the very nature of the universe we inhabit.
Some of the experiments that would be taking place in the laboratory spaces are very sensitive to environmental changes. The system we designed had to be able to give the researchers a high degree of control over the climate in any given area. To minimise the buildings carbon footprint the whole building was heated by one large scale system which meant that our BMS solution was a pivotal component to the successful delivery of an accurate, efficient heating system.
We installed a Trend system with customised logic systems to give smart control of the buildings climate.
